image 1: the mural (2025) depicts a collective vision for nature in mabopane, south africa, and was designed over multiple workshops with local residents, secondary school learners, and university researchers. indigenous plants and animals, connection to ancestors, clean water, community action, education, and safe access to nature-- these all emerged as pieces to the puzzle.
funding and support provided by collaboration on nature-based solutions for sustainable cities (consus) and the danida fellowship centre.
